About Jeremy Bridle

Jeremy Bridle is a painter of expressive figurative work. He was born in 1969 and grew up in Horsham, West Sussex where he still lives and works. From an early age art has always been of interest, producing mainly pencil drawings.

His paintings began with portraiture, then experimenting with seascapes and landscapes before settling on the human form.

The majority of his work is relatively large scale, using brushes and various scrapers to apply oil paint to the canvas. The aim is to create engaging paintings through the bold use of texture and layers of colour.
